Meet Bobby

Bobby Hudson III was “born, bred, and buttered” on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. From an early age, he discovered the power of creativity as a tool for advocacy—using art and storytelling to shed light on social, economic, and political issues within his community. By high school, Bobby was leading large-scale initiatives that blended service, leadership, and organizing. At the University of Mississippi, where he studied Public Policy Leadership in the Trent Lott Leadership Institute, he further deepened his passion for designing meaningful programming that empowered others.

Today, Bobby serves as the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Hudson & Company, LLC, a leadership consulting agency dedicated to inspiring and educating youth and young professionals. Under his leadership, Hudson & Company has become a hub for leadership development, civic engagement, and strategic planning, equipping individuals and organizations with the skills to ignite effective and sustainable change. For Bobby, this role is more than business—it is a mission. As CEO, he sees Hudson & Company as both a platform and a responsibility: to illuminate pathways for emerging leaders, empower communities with knowledge and resources, and transform visions into action.

In addition to his entrepreneurial work, Bobby also serves as Regional Coordinator at Mississippi Votes, where he works to mobilize young voters, expand access to the ballot, and build civic power across the Gulf Coast. His role bridges grassroots organizing with policy advocacy, ensuring that new generations are equipped and inspired to participate fully in democracy.

Bobby’s leadership and impact have earned recognition on institutional, statewide, and national levels. He was named to TIME Magazine’s “30 in 2030: A Generation Creating Change,” received the John Lewis Youth Leadership Award from the National Association of Secretaries of State, was a finalist for the James Meredith Changemaker Award, and was an inaugural recipient of the University of Mississippi Diversity Innovator Award, among other honors.

Beyond these professional commitments, Bobby continues to build and serve community-driven organizations. He is the Executive Director & Founder of the Griots Society, which hosts the annual Gulfport City-Wide Juneteenth Celebration; Executive Director & Founder of the Gulfport Advocacy Coalition; and an active civic leader through affiliations including Prince Hall Masonry, the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation, and multiple nonprofit boards. He also founded the University of Mississippi Society for Blacks in Political Studies (BIPS), an organization cultivating political education and representation among young leaders.

Guided by his personal motto—“to exemplify the standard of servant leadership”—Bobby remains dedicated to sparking a fire in others. His life’s work is centered on empowering communities to embrace their collective power and enact sustainable change that will shape generations to come.
